About the Role
As a CFI, you will provide ground and flight instruction to students pursuing private, instrument, commercial, and instructor ratings, You will help prepare students for FAA written, oral, and practical exams while promoting a strong safety culture and positive learning environment. Some key requirements of being a CFI are; Provide flight instruction in accordance with FAA regulations and school policies (including private, instrument, commercial and CFI training).
Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefing with students. Prepare students for written, oral, and practical FAA exams.
Develop personalized training plans based on student progress and learning styles.
Emphasize safety, aeronautical design-making, and professionalism.
Conduct flight reviews, proficiency checks, and ground instruction as needed.
Participate in regular instructor meetingts and continuing education, Represent the flight school professionally with students, parents, and other clients.
Requirements
FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Flight Intrument Instructor (CFII) certificate. required
FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate category/class ratings.
Valid and current FAA medical certificate (minimum 2nd or 3rd class)
Strong knowledge of aeronautical subjects, FAA regulations, and instructional techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills.
Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and student success.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
