Flight Instructor

Flight Instructor sought by Xing Kong Aviation Service LLC (DBA: Sierra Academy of Aeronautics) in Atwater, CA. Responsible for the flight training of students. Detailed job duties include: Provide individual flight instructions including pre-flight/post-flight briefings; Monitor student solo activities and initiate stage check requests; Maintain the quality (pass rate) of flight training above 79%; See that all section goals are met, including pass rate, students completing on time, not exceeding student night hours, student's training records completed on time, and if not, make recommendations to the Group Manager for corrective action to be taken; See that each assigned student is scheduled properly; Maintain the night training standards as outlined by both FAA and Sierra Academy of Aeronautics; Ensure that the policies and procedures of the Sierra Academy of Aeronautics Operations Manual are maintained; Ensure that the assigned student’s training record and folder are kept in accordance with Sierra Academy of Aeronautics and FAA policy.

Requirements: High school diploma (or foreign equivalent) and 2 years of experience in the job offered. Must have past experience working in a FAA Certified Part 141 pilot school. Must have a valid US Commercial Pilot Certificate with ratings airplane single and multiengine land, instrument airplane. Must have a FAA Flight Instructor certificate gold seal, with ratings airplane single and multiengine, instrument airplane. Must have a FAA first class medical certificate.
